Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Coachat ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the Coachat mobile application ("App").
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account Information: name, email address, phone number (optional), and authentication credentials.
- Profile Information: gender, age, height, weight, activity level, and fitness goals.
- Health Information: food preferences, health conditions, nutrition habits, and other health-related data you provide during the Health KYC process.
- Communications: messages exchanged with Coaches through the App.
Information collected automatically
- Device Information: device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage Data: App interaction data, features used, screens visited, and timestamps.
- Push Notification Tokens: for delivering notifications about workouts, messages, and updates.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and improve our services: deliver personalized workout plans, nutrition guidance, and coach interactions.
- Personalization: customize your experience based on your fitness profile and preferences.
- Communication: send push notifications for workout reminders, coach messages, and app updates.
- Account management: manage your account, process subscriptions, and provide customer support.
- Safety and security: detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Analytics: understand how users interact with the App to improve functionality and user experience.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect data:
- Firebase (Google): authentication, database (Firestore), cloud storage, cloud functions, analytics, and push notifications (FCM).
- Apple: Sign in with Apple authentication and App Store subscription processing.
- MyFatoorah: payment processing for certain regions. Payment data is processed directly by MyFatoorah and is not stored by Coachat.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored securely using Firebase Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage, which employ industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
- We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
- Sensitive information such as passwords is never stored in plain text. Authentication is handled securely through Firebase Authentication and Apple Sign In.
- While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
- We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services.
- If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes, enforcing agreements).
- Workout completion data and analytics may be retained in anonymized form for service improvement purposes.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data through the App's Profile settings.
- Data Portability: request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Withdraw Consent: withdraw consent for data processing at any time (this may limit App functionality).

7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

With your consent, we may send push notifications for workout reminders, coach messages, subscription updates, and promotional content. You can manage notification preferences in the App's settings or through your device settings at any time.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the App or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
